BOO! Did we scare you? Probably not, but if you’re looking for some spooktacular events around Jacksonville this year, we’ve got you covered!
The fall season is beautiful in Florida. Especially in Jacksonville, you’ll notice just how seriously locals take Halloween. From houses and yards transformed with giant spider webs, skeletons and ghoul decorations and folks donning their scariest costumes heading out to the beach bars for parties, it’s enough to get you in a festive mood.
Here are our 3 favorite family-friendly parties going on this month. Don’t forget your costume!
Adventure Landing always has something fun going on and this year for Halloween, there’s much not to be missed with 3 scary haunted houses and Zombie Attack Laser Tag. Payn Manor (a sadistic hotel where you can check in, but not out), Dark Fables (a creepy twist on classic fairy tales) and Pinehurst Asylum (well, asylum says it all) are the themes of each haunted attraction. Do you dare visit?
With attractions such as Slaughter’s Circus, Mr. Tasty’s Meat Factory, Dark Waters and Lockdown, you can just prepare yourself beforehand by bringing an extra pair of underpants if you decide to visit North Florida’s largest haunted house. They go all out here, with the aim of bringing your biggest fears to life. If you are serious about getting scared out of your mind, this is the pace to scream.
This is Jacksonville’s oldest haunted house, formed in 1970. This year, the undead are coming for you in Dread Woods! A fun attraction for the whole family, there will also be a full bar along with food trucks are on hand for snacks and beverages. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult while on the Trail of Terror.
