Local Jacksonville Farmer's Markets

3 Jacksonville Beaches Farmer's Markets You Need to Visit

The Jacksonville Beaches community is a special one, where supporting local businesses, healthy lifestyles and getting out to meet and socialize with neighbors is always promoted through various events.

One way to immerse yourself in the beach community is to visit a farmer’s market, and though a small area, there are a few that are Beach resident favorites.

You can stock up on fresh organic produce, find unique gifts or sample home cooked goodies while feeling the sun on your face and the sea breeze in your hair.

Here are 3 wonderful farmer’s markets in Jacksonville Beach that you need to check out.

Beaches Green Market

Every Saturday from 2 to 5 pm, hop on your beach cruiser and head on over to Jarboe Park in Neptune Beach for the Beaches Green Market. This is a smaller market bursting with local delights. Stock up on fresh organic produce, free-range eggs, grass fed meats and local honey. There are vendors selling homemade beauty products, crafts and plants, bringing the knowledge of sustainability and seasonal living to the beaches area.

Atlantic Beach City Market

This is a huge initiative undertaken to serve the City of Atlantic Beach and Mayport with fresh produce, dairy products, meat and more. Held weekly, vendors gather to sell all organic and seasonal products. Visitors can learn about sustainability and buying in-season, all while meeting other like minded individuals in the community and supporting local farmers. This market is held every Friday from 3 to 6 pm at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

Midweek Market

This market is held every Wednesday at Bull Park in Atlantic Beach from 3 to 6 pm. Family friendly, it’s located in the heart of Atlantic Beach’s residential area right next to a playground, making for a great afternoon outing the entire family will enjoy. Run by Dig Local, you can be sure to find all of the vegetables you want- locally sourced and organically grown, of course.
